Animal Dropoffs
Looking to drop off an animal?
What is accepted at Claire's Critters:
-Small reptiles such as geckos, bearded dragons, corn snakes.
-Amphibians such as frogs and turtles.
-Wild and tame small birds such as doves, pigeons, and quail.
-Mice and other rodents (limited room)
-Arachnids and insects such as tarantulas, hissing cockroaches, mantises.
-Chickens (limited room)
-All sorts of cactuses (we love them too here!)
What is NOT accepted at Claire's Critters:
-Large reptiles such as boa constrictors, iguanas, and monitor lizards.
-Venomous snakes or highly venomous insects/arachnids such as bark scorpions or black widows.
-Large high maintenance birds such as parrots, cockatiels.
-Predator birds such as hawks or falcons.
-Sick or diseased birds (injured is okay)
-Animals with contagious diseases or conditions.
-Cats or dogs (no more room, sorry!)
Claire's Critters also offers end of life care for animals that may be injured beyond recovery. Please know we do not offer veterinary care at Claire's Critters except for basic wound dressing and cleaning.
Claire's Critters is a private residence and does not guarantee placement or acceptance of an animal. Animals with extreme medical needs will be referred to a veterinarian or animal ER.
